Role Overview
As the Controller, you will play a critical role by serving as a key financial steward to ensure the organization’s financial health and stability. This role is integral to overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing supporting information to the leadership team for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in general accounting, payroll processing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
What you will be responsible for:
- General Ledger Management: Overseeing the maintenance of the general ledger, including reconciliation, month end close process, bank account management and cash flow monitoring.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee day to day accounting operations including commission reconciliation, AP/AR and Payroll Processing for 30+ employees.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports. Create balance sheets and cash flow statements.Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, deductions and taxes.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. Coordinate and manage annual reporting processes.
- Financial Analysis: provide assistance in budgeting and forecasting, contributing to our financial outlook.

What you have already accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA certification is a bonus!
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within a small company setting
- A solid understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to leadership team
