COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
Finding ways to show gratitude and give back.
As an organization, we support charitable initiatives that promote the well-being of our community. From staffing weeklong Habitat to Humanity builds to hosting Red Cross blood drives, we are always looking for ways to give back.
2020 Giving Campaign
In honor of our 70 year anniversary and our founder’s legacy of giving back to the community, Cox Insurance committed to donating 10% of our profits in 2020 – a year filled with significant challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. To kick off this campaign, we identified three organizations that made an immediate difference in our community and made contributions on behalf of our clients who participated in the campaign. In addition, our clients nominated 85 other organizations and made donations to them as well.
“To honor the agency’s legacy of giving back, our renewed focus is on supporting our community and helping organizations in need during this unprecedented time.”
– Hanna Cox Connor
Soup it Up for Kids
From 2004-2014, Cox Insurance organized a non-profit foundation, Soup it Up for Kids, that funded causes directly involved with the future of our community. Thanks to the support of local businesses, individual donors, and volunteers, Soup it Up raised over $1 million and 100% of the funds were dedicated to organizations and scholarship funds that provided education, mentorship, and wellness to youth in the Twin Cities.
Employee-Led Initiatives
Cox Insurance team members organize quarterly volunteer efforts and mentorship programs throughout the community through our Culture Committee activities.
